This 9"x 12" acrylic monotype on cold-press watercolor paper was made with real grasses from the pots sitting on my front porch last summer.
The piece uses a combination of gel prints featuring the silhouette and the texture (ghost print) of these unusual plants. Machine stitching was added to emphasize the grass shape, but in a different texture.
