"Day 16" is a gel printed rock from my 100-day project of rocks in Spring 2025. Each piece from this series is on 8" x 8", 140lb—cold-press watercolor paper.
This monotype comes matted and framed in a solid, black, wood frame with a finished size of 11" x 11" x 1.5" deep. The back of this piece has a paper backing to help prevent dust and dirt, as well as a wire for easy hanging.
Gel printing primarily uses acrylic paint, but some prints in this series use mixed media printing techniques such as oil pastel resists, soft pastel or charcoal transfers, and acrylic markers.
